Blue Jacket, Inc. was created in July, 2003 to help reduce crime in Allen County , and doing this by training and transitionally hiring adult ex-offenders.
The mission of Blue Jacket, Inc. is to provide ex-offenders with the tools and opportunities to be productive members of society. The philosophical foundation is to provide these opportunities to those who want to earn their way back to the table and are motivated to work.
Training initiatives were tried and tested while under the guise of Allen County Community Corrections, Blue Jacket’s parent organization, now in operation at Blue Jacket, Inc under the direction of a completely independent and autonomous nonprofit board of directors.
The 60 hour Career Academy training is a training, screening, and development tool for every adult male and female ex-offender that enters into the program. Blue Jacket serves an average of 300 graduates of this training per year, with a like amount having to be placed on a waiting list.
Blue Jacket operates with a very active and professional board of directors and staff. Every week it continues to re-evaluate and improve its service delivery to clients and the community.
Please DONATE via PAY PAL into the scholarship bank, helping us serve the 400/year that we place on a waiting list. Or Donate via FIRSTGIVING.
