Alternative Staffing and Job Placement

Blue Jacket offers individuals as temporary or transitional placements through our Alternative Staffing Enterprise entitled Opportunity Staffing, a d.b.a. of Blue Jacket, Inc. This enterprise enables an employer to "try before you buy," while the Blue Jacket client continues their pursuit of a career, not just a job.
If you are an employer and have high turnover or little time for selecting new employees; Blue Jacket can reduce your cost-per-hire and recruiting workload. Our services are designed to help you make more effective and successful hiring decisions, and to increase retention. Blue Jacket offers motivated candidates that possess a criminal background; candidates that are proving that they can earn a second chance.
TRUST TAKES TIME AND EFFORT to gain back. Transitional Employees of Opportunity Staffing and Blue Jacket staff understand this. See how we've applied this to our Alternative Staffing business model.

Criminal backgrounds on everyone. Yes, we screen to your expectations.
Training Services: The Career Academy is a 60-hour & 4 week pre-employment training and is rigid and demanding, teaching how to get and keep a job with a felony conviction. It also focuses on providing for oneself and how to be a good employee. Our supportive services will have a powerful impact on your company.
Disciplined Selection Process: Did we mention that our clients spend at least 60 hours with staff in a formal setting? We know our clients. This sure beats taking a guess on a walkin-in off the street.
Position Assessment Services: Blue Jacket provides to you the candidate you seek from entry-level to skilled positions such as cashier, factory-warehouse, construction, receptionist, clerical, data processing, web and graphic designing, and customer service representative. We will create assessments that screen clients based on skill.
Partnership: Blue Jacket works with a number of nonprofit and governmental agencies to assist our clients. Other temporary staffing agencies do not have mentors, accountabiltiy people, financial literacy training, counseling, family activities, and life skill training to name a few. We have parternships that desire success for our clients and with you.
Immediate Replacement: If the candidate did not match the position. We may even offer a client on a free 4-hour trial basis as well.
Transitional Work Crews
Blue Jacket has been awarded contracts to construct seasonal displays, change over for events, minor lawn maintenance and cleanup, and other activities where those wanting a transitional wage can be observed for on-the-job skills and get experience at the same time. This gives us a solid perspective of the candidate’s work ethic, attitude and motivation before we make a placement. Blue Jacket has sent out 2 - 8 person crews with supervisors and has very pleased customers as a result.

There is solid evidence that this new generation of programs serving welfare recipients and other hard-to-employ adults is working. According to a national study of transitional jobs programs, 39 to 82 percent of participants who enroll complete the program. Of those who finish the program, 81 to 94 percent find unsubsidized employment.
