At Blue Jacket’s Career Academy, attendance and dress code requirements are strict and simulate a real-life professional work environment.
Dress code expectations simulate what a real employer would expect, and allow clients the opportunity to present themselves in a professional, sophisticated fashion. These expectations foster a sense of pride and esteem in clients, which transfers directly to the job search where such traits are advantageous and highly desirable by employers.
Because our Career Academy clients are often returning home from prison with little or no financial means or personal belongings, Blue Jacket realizes that business professional clothing may not be readily available or accessible.
After enrollment into the Career Academy, clients are able to make use of the clothing bank to ensure they have the necessary clothing to meet the requirements of Blue Jacket and the professional workforce. Clients keep the clothing they receive at Blue Jacket, utilizing it as they begin their journey into the workforce.
If you have any business professional clothing that you would like to donate, please download and complete our Clothing Donation Information Sheet and bring it, along with your donations, to Blue Jacket.
We would greatly appreciate if you could launder and press any clothing that is donated since we currently do not have the ability to do that on-site.
